The Rapid Moisture Meter is used in laboratories of construction industry for quick determination of moisture content in powdered materials such as soil, sand, coal, pottery slip and cement. It is designed in confirmation with industry standards using high grade materials.

The Meter Includes
- Pressure vessel with clamp for sealing cap, rubber sealing gasket, pressure gauge calibrated in percentage moisture content 0 –25% on wet weight basis
- Counter poised balance for weighing sample
- Scoop for measuring carbide reagent
- One bottle of reagent approx. 450 gram
- One cleaning brush

- Wooden carrying box with handle
Working
- A weighed quantity of sample is mixed with fixed quantity of calcium carbide reagent
- The whole mixture is thoroughly shaken in a vessel to which a pressure gauge is fixed
- The acetylene gas produced develops pressure
- The instrument indicates moisture on weight basis that is easily convertible to dry weight basis
